This meditation is great for when you need to raise your own energy levels; perhaps you are feeling sluggish, or devoid of motivation? Or maybe you just feel you need a bit of a 'clear out'? This meditation works with the chakra's, and is very simple to perform. By working with a combination of our chakra's, breath work, and sea energies, it can evoke a calm yet productive energy within ourselves.
Prepare and enter meditation however you usually do. For this meditation, we will be visualising a wave travelling up from our root chakra, and back down again from the crown chakra. Energy flows through the body aren't quite that straight forward, but for the purposes of this meditation, we will be working with a very simple 'up and down' flow. Trust that doing this will help activate the other energy flows in the body, giving you that boost that you need.
First, you need to regulate your breathing; you need to keep it slow, but consistent. Breathe in for a count of three, four, or maybe even five, and then breathe out for the same count. If you find that you are breathing too slow/too quickly as you progress through the meditation, then feel free to change the count, but try to find one you can stick with for the entirety of the meditation.

Start off by feeling, or visualising, a small wave of energy sitting just below your root chakra. Just focus on this first; see it sloshing around gently, like a small wave in the sea. As it moves around your body it will balance and energies you.
When you feel ready, inhale; and as you do, see this wave of energy rising up the left hand side of your body. See it passing through your root chakra, then your sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and finishing at the top of your crown chakra. As it moves through every chakra it empowers that chakra, making it glow brighter.
As you finish inhaling, the wave should have travelled up the length of your body and to the crown chakra. Now, exhale, and see this wave of energy flowing down the right side of your body; back through the crown chakra, the third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral, and finally finishing at the bottom of the root chakra. Again, see this energy empowering and invigorating each chakra as it passes through. Then, inhale again, and keep this wave of energy flowing, up through the chakras on the left hand side, and down through the chakra's on the right hand side. Try to time this perfectly with your breath, so that you aren't holding your breath at either the root or crown chakra, or having to speed up your breathing to catch up with your visualisation.
Perform this for several rounds, and when you feel you have finished, come out of meditation as you usually would. It is subtle, but you should feel more motivated and energised. If you are trying to find the energy to get something in particular done, then try to keep this intention in mind as you perform this meditation.
